Yes.
A recent study suggests that radiation from cell phones may cause cancer; what, if any, cell phone usage precautions will you take in light of this information?
Submitted by Tim.
None. Because frankly I think whatever recent study you're quoting, I know of more recent ones to the contrary. Plus, I don't use my cell phone much anyway.

What could we do to create a world with less violence?
Depends on what you mean by "less violence". If you simply raw numbers then the easiest thing to do would be to somehow get rid of a lot of people. I mean, if we're only going to start counting violence after some point, we could just nuke a bunch of people before that point and then afterwards things would be a lot "better".
If we're doing the whole "per capita" thing it gets a bit trickier. I'd recommend improving the economic position of the poorest people. The theory being if you have something to lose you're less likely to be violent. After that there's the popular idea of increased communications. I advocate the internet allowing increased communication between individuals, but I supposed state style ambassador stuff is good, too. After that power should be distributed more to the people and less to conglomerate organizations, like governments and corporations and religions.
That should keep us busy for quite a while, so I'll wait for some of those things to get implemented and see how things work out before I start working on steps 4 - 6.
What do you do when you get a crush on someone?
Submitted by Desi.
I don't get crushes on people. The problem is this. I find vanity, in all its varied forms, very unappealing. So, any attractive woman I see I assume is a fan of all those vanity things, (hair curlers, makeup, whatever) and therefore I don't like them. The level of attractiveness is directly correlated with the assumed level of vanity, so it cancels out.
So I can't get crushes just from physicality. That leaves personality. Such a thing requires fairly prolonged conversation. This is problematic, as it generally requires effort on the part of the female, since I can't be bothered to talk to those people I assume to be superficial and worthless. So, barring coincidental proximity, this happens fairly irregularly. Anyway, after some hapless female talks to me for more than 10 minutes, she has to impress me. This happens almost never. In fact, it never has happened to the extent of a crush.
By the time a girl impresses me enough to make me like her at a crush level, she has to have put monumental effort into the task, requiring that she already like me. So that's not a crush, that' s just a relationship.
I'm aware of the problems in this system. I'm currently not motivated to fix them. So, shy females, the onus is on you for the foreseeable future.

My mom's mom.
What fictional character do you relate to most and why?
Superman! Because I'm so perfect most people think I'm lame.
What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?
I dunno. Kinda hard to define personality trait for one thing. Also, there are lots of types of trouble. I asked Sidney and she suggested my heartless bluntness, which was essentially what I would pick. Me telling the truth is what gets me into the most trouble with interpersonal relationships and sorta makes my reputation. Course, this "trait" might really be a set of traits, lack of empathy, lack of patience, self absorption, disgust of arbitrary rules, lack of respect for authority, abnormal affiliation for the truth, generally inflexible definition of truth, lack of self consciousness, stubbornness... for example.
The other major candidate is laziness. This is what gets me into the most "official" trouble, with like, school and work and stuff. However, it's never really gotten me in trouble in either case unless you think I'm not living up to my potential and that that is trouble or something. And I don't think it's really laziness usually so much as apathy for particular subjects/projects. /shrug So, I guess it only would be a good answer if you limit "trouble" to mean trouble with some sort of authority figures.
I've never had detention, never been grounded, never been arrested, never had a ticket, never failed or dropped a class, never paid a fine... at least not for anything I did... I'm a goody goody, I guess.
